Into the world
The five modules in Year take students into the wider world. The Gothic bridges the divide between the 19th and 20th centuries; War Writer focuses on modernism; Tragedy moves from Oedipus to Othello to Okwonko; Freedom is centred on the writers of the Harlem Renaissance, and Women in Literature is a synoptic re-evaluation of the previous 12 modules from a feminist perspective.
